The SPE Student Chapter from Instituto Superior Técnico has as main interest promoting networking opportunities between students and professionals within energy, Oil & Gas, geophysics and more. In addition, the Student Chapter also aims to provide opportunities for students to develop or evolve their soft skills. We provide multiple webinars, activities, and informal talks throughout the academic year for students to take the most advantage.

Master in Petroleum Engineering

The student chapter of SPE Portugal is currently located at Instituto Superior Técnico and its main members are Petroleum Engineering Masters and PhD students. The current Master in Petroleum Engineering at Técnico is in the Top 50 of the best Masters in Petroleum Engineering in the World. This MSc. programme is internationally recognized for his students’ dissertation work in the areas of characterization and modelling of hydrocarbon reservoirs, seismic inversion and production optimization (history matching).
